February update

Shop stock.  Many thanks to those who were able to help with unloading, unpacking and storing the new stock for the shop.  Your help is very much appreciated.

The shop opens for the new season on Saturday 7th February 10am – 12.00 noon.

Membership is also due for renewal from this Saturday.  The membership fee remains at £5.00 despite another increase in the cost of membership of the National Association.

Members will appreciate the great value that our shop represents.
....Compare the cost of our seed potatoes with those available in town.
....We have stocked up on all of our fertilisers. As usual members can purchase quantities to suit themselves when they need them.  Again the prices are very low - considerably lower than the commercial outlets. Also, buying on a needs basis means you don't have shop bought boxes of fertiliser going hard on shelves in the shed.
....Again this year we are stocking Kings seeds and these are available to members at a huge discount.
…. Check the updated price list on the right hand side of the web site for items and prices.  As ever items are sold on a first come first served basis. If you have ideas for extending the stock we have then speak to one of the committee.

Compost bins
There are still some large, plastic compost bins available to plot holders.  These are available on a first come first served basis.  Please ask at the shop.

Pallets
There are some pallets available at the shop.  These are free to WALGA members.

Shop
Please consider volunteering to help in the shop.  This could be as little as once or twice a season but would help us enormously. If you are able to help please let us know asap so that we can start to sort out a sensible rota. There will always be a member of the committee at the shop so please don't feel that you will be left unsupported.
If you are able to help please let us know by emailing walga.allotments@gmail.com or by calling in at the shop.
