News update 28th January 2014

The shop opens for the new season on Saturday 1st February, 10am - 12noon.

Membership is also due for renewal as from Saturday. The membership fee remains at £5.00 despite an increase in the cost of membership of  the National Allotment Association.

Members will appreciate the great value that our shop represents.
....We are selling 15 varieties of seed potatoes at £1.00 per kilo - price them up in town or at the various  garden centres and you will be paying around £3.99 for 1.5 kilos.
....We have stocked up on all of our fertilisers. As usual members can purchase quantities to suit themselves.
Again the prices are very low - considerably lower than the commercial outlets. Also, buying on a needs basis means you don't have shop bought boxes of fertilisers going hard on shelves in the shed.
....This year we are stocking Kings seeds and these are available to members at a huge discount.

Check the updated price list on the right hand side of the web site for items and prices.  As ever items are sold on a first come first served basis. If you have ideas for extending the stock we have then speak to one of the committee.

We are keen to increase our membership this year.   Please tell others about the bargains to be had at the shop as well as the advice that is available and encourage them to become members.  The more members we have the stronger we will be as an association, particularly in these financially difficult times. If each one of us introduces one additional member then we will be in a very strong position.  Please remember - members do not have to be allotment plot holders.

We are planning to add a GARDENING ADVICE page to the web site, starting with details of the seed potatoes we are selling together with advice for growing etc. and details of the use of our fertilisers.  This should be available within a couple of weeks.
