February Update

The shop opens for the new season on Saturday 6th February 2016.

Please note the new opening times Saturday 11am – 1pm

Membership is also due for renewal from this Saturday.  The membership fee remains at £5.00 despite yet another increase in the cost of membership of the NSALG. The fee includes third party insurance which is a condition of tenancy for your plot.

We had a large delivery of new stock last week and this included our stock of seed potatoes.  Many thanks to those who were able to help with unloading and storing the new stock. Shop prices remain as they were last year.

Members will appreciate the great value that our shop represents.  Compare the cost of our seed potatoes with those elsewhere. We have stocked up on our broad range of fertilisers and as usual members can purchase quantities to suit themselves, when they need them.  Again the prices are very low – considerably lower than the commercial outlets.

Again this year we are stocking Kings seeds and these are available to members at a huge discount.

As many of you will be aware we have been working with Huw Griffiths’ family on ways of marking his huge dedication and commitment to the association.  We will be making an annual award in Huw’s name at the Summer Show.  Huw’s family will be sponsoring the award on an annual basis and the association will purchase the trophy.

Many of you have said that you would like to make some form of contribution towards this.  This can be done through the shop.  Please make sure that tell us that the contribution is for the trophy.

In addition to this Huw’s family have asked that some of his tools and equipment be available to members for a donation.  These are also available in the shop.
