About WALGA

Membership of the association is open to all gardeners whether they are allotment plot holders or not. The membership fee is £6 per year (2022) and includes group membership of the National Allotment Society.

News Update 6th April 2014

Found. Small bunch of keys have been handed in at the Allotment shop on Prices Lane. Please email me if you know who they might belong to. 

Shop now open Wednesday evenings 6pm – 7pm as well as Saturday mornings 10am -12noon 

Kings seeds order now in the shop and includes a good range of vegetable and flower seeds 

Bags of horse manure and boxes of Westland Compost Maker now in stock 

Plugs / plants will be available shortly and will include: lettuce, mixed salad, broad bean, leek, peas, tomato (30 different varieties), cauliflower, cabbage. When they are available I will let members know via email and www.walga.co.uk 

Annual Show News. Arrangements are well in hand for this year’s Show, which is to be held on 16th August. Don and Unni Owens of Llay will once again be judging the Fruit and Vegetables Classes and the Flowers and Plants Classes, but the Home Products and Handicrafts Classes and the Children’s Classes will this year be judged by Mrs Freda Crawford and Mrs Hilda Walton of the Rhosnesni and Abenbury Women’s Institute. Details of the various classes, the prize money for each and the sponsors will be posted in the 2014 Annual Show page shortly.
